They say let go of the past
But my mind dwells on the whilom memories
They say don’t worry about the future
Yet my mind lingers on the inevitable
They say that I’ll be fine
But my terrors claw at me from the deep
They say that it’s going to be better tomorrow
Albeit I worry if there is ever a tomorrow
Nevertheless, I carry on
Though the frigid winter howls in my ear
Though the sweltering heat
I go on,
For there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
