Sunsets – Paurvi Bhansali

I look up at the sky, which casts
Iridescence in my eyes, splitting
Their sparkle into a thousand hues.
It reminds me of the time we spent together,
Seated on the park bench, marvelling at the tint that
Splashes the sky as the sun goes down.
As the gleam of crimson
Flushes my face, it streaks
My hair a couple of shades.
And when it all ends, we’re given the chance
To start it all over again.
To live for a new sunset.
