Lonely Echoes
– Lavanyaa Tripathi

Life swiftly passes, I remain still,
Bound by unseen bonds, I sit, despite my will.
My loved ones depart, leaving me alone,
My feet unmoving, I’m cold as stone.

No warmth, besides that of the flame,
No hand to hold, no one to claim.
The glue persists, refusing to yield,
I long to flee, but distance is sealed.

Yet hope flickers faintly in the night,
A distant star, a guiding light.
Though far they seem, they’re still in sight,
Life’s journey continues, beyond this plight.
