I was told that the past was gone, not the chance.
I could still prove myself.
I was told that the trust was lost, not my potential.
I could still redeem myself.
I tried and tried till I cried,
As though I were shouting on top of my lungs.
I slipped and climbed a mountain with no heights,
Just to lose myself.
Almost reached the top now,
Where I could finally see; golden bright.
Who am I now?
Because this doesn’t seem right.
