Myrtle here, is a friend of mine,
The truest friend indeed,
She helps me when I’m feeling sad,
She holds me when I weep.

Myrtle never lies to me,
Myrtle always tells the truth,
She never hurts me and trusts me to
Never hurt her too.

We watch movies on a fun day,
Play the guitar when feeling blue,
Always take on the world together,
Even if we don’t have a clue.

When I fall asleep on the sofa,
Myrtle carries me to bed,
She lays me with all the gentleness,
That she can possess.

She wakes me with love,
She holds me with care,
She listens to my dreams,
The ones of a billionaire.

Myrtle never questions my feelings,
She never questions my dreams,
She believes that I can be,
Whoever I want to be.

To come back to reality,
The one thing I hate to do,

Myrtle is me and I am her,
Don’t let yourself be confused.

Myrtle comes in many forms,
As a parent, a sibling, myself,
As nature, as water, as medicine,
Myrtle never fails to help.

Myrtle may be a friend,
She may be a pet,
Myrtle may even be a stranger
Someone you’ve never met.

Whatever makes you happy is Myrtle,
Whatever makes you grow is Myrtle,
Whoever holds you when you cry is Myrtle,
Whoever helps you fight is Myrtle.

Unless you let the darkness reign,
Myrtle will always be there,
Myrtle will give you the power to fight,
Myrtle will always care.

Myrtle tells me to fight everyday,
Myrtle keeps me awake,
Because she’d rather listen to all my plights
Than be at my wake.

For Myrtle here, is a friend of mine,
The truest friend indeed,
She helps me when I’m feeling sad,
She holds me when I weep.
